"PLEASED TO MEET YOU!" Workshop

Would you like your dog to sit politely when greeting people rather than jumping up? This class will use fun, interactive training exercises to teach your pooch how to greet politely.

"PULLING PUPS" Workshop

Got a dog who thinks he is a sled dog?! This workshop will give you the tools and tips you need to improve your dog’s leash manners. Class will be held indoors and outdoors, weather permitting.

"RUN TO ME!" Workshop

By the end of this class your dog will think that coming to you when you call is the BEST thing ever! Learn and practice a variety of training exercises to get your dog running happily to you every time you call.

"LEARNING THEORY 101" Workshop

Whenever we try to change a behavior, whether it is a dog's or a person's, we are using certain rules that apply to how beings learn. How we use those laws of Learning Theory will determine how successful we are in changing behavior. The laws are in effect, even if unintentional. This workshop will teach you the basics of Learning Theory and how it relates to positively training your dog.

"THE POWER OF SHAPING" Workshop

If you enjoy observing your dog's movements and would like to learn how to use the clicker to "build" a behavior, shaping is for you! Using this creative and dynamic approach, you can teach your dog a complex behavior, such as fetching the newspaper, from the smallest first step to the finished behavior without luring or prompting. With shaping, training becomes a fun game for you and your dog. Professional trainers love this technique, and you will too!

"SCAREDY DOG" Workshop

Is your dog overly cautious? Is he uncomfortable meeting new people, dogs, situations? In this hands-on workshop you will learn why dogs become fearful, what we can do to lessen their anxiety, and practical skills to build your dog's confidence. Take this first step to helping your pooch feel more comfortable facing "scary" situations.
